As the dust settles, it appears that a gathering has converged down in the valley, outside the General Store in Rattlesnake Canyon. Despite the howling winds on the plains, it is clear that the Sheriff is passionately speaking to the crowd about something of great importance.
The Settlers and Merchants of Rattlesnake Canyon have been offered a challenging proposition. The locals have four weeks to secure all the materials necessary to build a railroad as well as a camp for workers.
This is the opportunity of a lifetime to make Rattlesnake Canyon an important stop on an extremely busy transportation route. If they succeed, the winning teams will receive capital with which to start new businesses and a deed for 10,000 acres of prime railway land. If they fail, the harsh elements of a Montana winter will come down on them and they may be left stranded without easy access to provisions.
As the sounds and scents of the great frontier surround them, participants maximize profit through a series of buying and selling transactions where rapid turnover is key.
