Gold of the Desert KingsTM
Teams rush to compete against each other in the exhilarating race across the desert. Their goal? Battle the elements to get to the mountains to mine for as much gold as possible and return home alive to cash it in at market value.
In Gold of the Desert Kings® all teams face identical challenges. They are forced to be as productive as possible with their limited time and resources. They encounter sandstorms, superheat and the very scary Tomb of Kings. Eighty percent of the teams that begin the journey finish it - while the others perish in the desert.
The feelings of pressure and anxiety in Gold of the Desert Kings are similar to those that surface daily in a hectic work schedule. All teams are given the same resources and time, and they share the same pressures and risks - yet some teams get a higher return on their investment than others. Why? Some teams play to win, while others play to survive.
The debrief demonstrates how productivitydriven behavior begins with the end in mind. It highlights the need to ask "What's Possible?" and focuses on the benefits of up-front planning, setting goals, teamwork, and taking necessary risks. The teams that achieve unbelievable results blend goals, objectives and plans with attitude, heart and commitment.
